I started fusing electronics and metal because I knew both of those worlds and it made sense in my head to amalgamate them.Ībsolutely, it was a great excuse for me to scratch those itches that I had from the ’80s. But even before that, I remember hearing the vocoder on things like Mr Roboto. I was into new wave in the ’80s, but I grew up on Metallica and Slayer. Meanwhile, his production skills, predicated on an enduring passion for technology and detailed sound design, are brought to life in his stunning multi-room studio, featuring a litany of hardware pedals, synths and the latest modular gear.
